Very rare 1930’s, antique, signed and museum JEAN DESPRÉS’ brooch in white and gold silver adorned with three semicircles juxtaposed jagged, the center in onyx.

Signature and master’s stamp.

Listed in the book directed by Jean Després, combining  the models of jewelry created between 1928 and 1933.

Friend of Joséphine Backer, Jean Desprès is one of the most innovative and recognized goldsmiths of the 1920’s /1930’s. As a lot of designers of his time, he likes to collaborate with artists such as Etienne Cournault for its "ice jewelry" or Jean Mayodon for these “ceramics’ jewellery”.

Jean Deprès is very represented in the Musé des arts décoratifs of Paris.
